More gas stations open as half of Wilma power outages restored: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Well...it seems that the rest of the world has forgotten about South Florida and the ongoing struggle to maintain a positive attitude on Day 5 without power. Matt and I have come to the consensus that Hurricane Wilma isn't making national news because 1) there have been no riots; 2) apparently there aren't any disenfranchised minorities; and 3) there was a positive reception to President Bush's visit yesterday.
The good news is that FPL is doing a great job of getting power to people as quickly as they can. Their main staging site is in the harness track behind our house - from our balcony at night it's tents and cherry pickers as far as the eye can see! We heard that they are working 20 hour shifts to get power restored, which makes us very grateful!
The Forum is now back on power, although the main BOH office is still without power (our email server is there, so still no email). We are hopeful that our development will come up soon. In the meantime, Matt is still working hard, long days at CRM to get them the power they need to edit their 'hurricane special' and open mail; and I'm sticking close to home and conserving gas (we think someone siphoned some of my gasoline - my mileage was way too low to be on empty...but Stanley and Alicia blessed us with 2 gallons yesterday and I was able to drive to work this morning!).
Thanks for thinking of us, and please continue to pray for those who lost their homes.
Blessings,
Kathryn
P.S. How many times did I use the word 'power' here??
